During tonight’s broadcast we highlighted an article published on HOMELESS PERSPECTIVE earlier in the day titled, Homeless Criminalization: “Is It Illegal To Be Homeless?”
Host, Tim Houchen shares about how the information in the article can be very useful for advocates that are bloggers or persons preparing to speak publically in regards to criminalization of homelessness and how to use criminating policies of local governments in any argument for solutions to end homelessness.
It was just a sneak preview, but still a pleasant surprise when it was revealed during the broadcast that a dozen California cities had persons with lived homeless experience running for mayor on the ballot for the upcoming elections in November. If you want to know how many total homeless candidates are officially running for office and in what cities, you’ll have to stay-tuned to upcoming news articles and live broadcasts to find out.
